Our Team
I am a middle Tennessee native, and have called Cookeville home for more than 20 years. My nursing journey began at Tennessee Technological University by earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004. I worked in neonatal intensive care as a RN, but I knew my heart was in seeking a career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. So, in 2006, I started Vanderbilt University to pursue that goal, and earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a Pediatric Primary Care specialty the following year. I have served patients and families of the Upper Cumberland for nearly 2 decades. My eagerness to learn led me to earn my Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2020 from Tennessee Technological University & East Tennessee State University. I hold board certification with the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, and am a proud member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Tennessee Nurse Practitioner Association. I love every part of my profession! My specialties include lactation counseling and patient and family education, but the best part is watching kids grow from tiny newborns to amazing young adults. It is a true blessing and honor to care for children and families of my community.
My wonderful husband, Michael, and I have 4 amazing children (Nathan, Elijah, Calleigh, & Logan), 1 fabulous daughter-in-law (Kendall), 2 rowdy dogs (Sadie & Lulu), and 1 goofy grand-dog (Beans). When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids play soccer, and attending Nashville Soccer Club games. Additionally, I love reading historical fiction novels, exploring new places, and traveling to foreign countries.
